The FIT team is comprised of local IT professionals and computer scientists at partner registry sites. Training sessions have been conducted to impart skills and knowledge which contribute to the development of the FAIRVASC technical architecture (namely R2RML, Linked Data, RDF, Prov-O, and SPARQL). For all registries, R2RML mappings have been developed. R2RML is a semantic web technology that allows tabular data to be transformed, or ‘uplifted’, into linked data. Each site was responsible for building a local RDF triple store to host their linked data. The FIT team has been involved also in the ontology design process and in the development of the interface in close collaboration with the HIT team.
