FAIRVASC welcomes Professor Louis Aslett

The FAIRVASC consortium warmly welcomes collaborating PI Professor Louis Aslett to the FAIRVASC team! Prof Aslett is an Associate Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Durham University.  He has particular research interests in development of methodology at the interface of cryptography and statistics to enable secure statistical modelling. He also works on applied statistical machine learning for electronic health record data, leading the SPARRA project to develop a risk prediction model for emergency hospital admission in Scotland

Prof. Aslett presented an overview of his research interests at the recent FAIRVASC Plenary meeting on 11 Jan 2021 in a talk entitled ‘Privacy and Confidentiality in Statistical Inference’. FAIRVASC looks forward to a productive collaboration in particular in relation to Risk stratification experiments in AAV
