The FAIRVASC project held its first (kick-off) meeting over 2 days (03rd and 09th June 2020). All partners were represented, and the meeting was chaired by FAIRVASC Coordinator Professor Augusto Vaglio of Meyer and Professor Mark Little of TCD. The meeting took place virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the lack of direct interactions, the online meeting turned out to be very successful. Partners introduced their teams and their planned workplans on Day 1 including key tasks and deliverables. On Day 2 a more detailed project workshop was held providing the FAIRVASC consortium with a comprehensive description of the first three project workpackages: WP1 Registry Profiling & Data Preparation, WP2 Legal and Ethical Profiling and WP3 Uplift into RDF. The meeting closed with a review of project timelines, decisions and actions. The FAIRVASC consortium are excited that the project has initiated and are looking forward to working together successfully.
